During my time on the PIX Team đ” at BV bank (2022-2023), we work in diferents improvements. Here I bring you a small example of improvements for more customer engagement.

For non BR users: What is a PIX?
âWithin the Brazilian instant payment (IP) ecosystem, Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) created Pix, the Brazilian IP scheme that enables its users â people, companies and governmental entities â to send or receive payment transfers in few seconds at any time, including non-business daysâ
Screen at the moment
With analysis and conversations with users we found that:
- QR code payment doesn't have much usage, hierarchy needs to be revised;
- âMinhas Chavesâ (my keys) are the second most accessed area;
- There is no direct link to the âExtratoâ (bank statement) . Previous usability tests have shown that users typically look for this statement within the Pix feature;
- The number of accesses on âLimitesâ (limits to transaction) is very low.
Proposed new screen
After screen attempts and exchanges with other designers we arrived at this screen:
- Even though the screen has become longer in scrolling, more relevant contents are at the top, making the contents more visual and clickable;
- It is also possible to compress some contents, compacting the screen.
- Actions such as copying and sharing keys require fewer clicks;
- Shortcuts at the end help the user with non-primary actions.
