As the world collapsed (and even myself), I finally felt like I found my place.

That 2020 was a very difficult year, full of losses, pain and disappointment in relation to government attitudes, that we all live in the skin. But coming across stories of joy from some people's own world is what kept us fighting, and today I wanted to share with you a good part of my year, that part that I call happiness, which was hearing things like:

“Aaah, we can take this discussion to UX. What could we do in that case, Mayza?”

Let's start from the beginning that the road was long to get here (and look, there's still a lot of hills to climb haha, let's climb!)

At first it was all bush, and the neighbor's grass was greener

Back in the beginning, in 2019, it was all bush hahah and I was a Computer Science student interning in Business Intelligence, the famous BI, at Ericsson Telecom. Ah, the multinational dream… wow, yes, I felt that way at the beginning too…

The thing was, it wasn't exactly BI, it was to go along with and enhance a BI solution. Me and another colleague were responsible for the development and prospecting of the application. It was a solution with an sdk (imagine it being a small piece of application that we add to an existing mobile application) for collecting authorized mobile network data, but which also had an application version that we could follow the evolution of data from our own testing devices.

This application intrigued me… it had a very simple interface with very little visual concern.
